My name is Rylan Armstrong, and I’m a 19 year old artist. I’ve been making art for as long as I can remember, but over the past couple of years, I’ve committed all my time and energy to it because I want to live the life I know I’m meant to live.
I used to work a trade job during the summers and every school break. Every day, I’d wake up knowing deep down that I was destined for more than working for someone else for the rest of my life. In high school, I drew every chance I got because I knew, even as a kid, that art was what I was meant to do.
I believe everyone is destined for more than they realize, but most people don’t take the time to work on themselves or chase their dreams. I’ve always had the mindset that I’m meant to live my dream life—not the one others imagined for me. That’s why I started Rawdawg Clothing and my art page.
I’ve always believed that if you give something your all, it will pay off over time—as long as you have the right mindset and work ethic. That’s why my brand includes quotes like “Live your dream life,” and others that reflect that energy. My work ethic comes from the belief that I’m meant for something greater. You only get one life—so go all in.
My inspiration comes from everything going on in my head—the good and the bad. I try to express my emotions through my art. There’s a quote by Juice WRLD that’s always stuck with me. He talks about taking the darkest things in your head and turning them into something good—something that helps you grow and move toward something bigger and better. He ended that message with “999,” which I’ve taken to heart.
I truly believe that if you can see it in your mind, you can make it real. You can do anything you want in life if you work hard enough and never give up. Dream big, stay true to yourself, and everything you want will come.
